Awards entry form

Schoolsradio.com is delighted to announce that two new Awards will be made to both the most outstanding male and the most outstanding female presenter currently operating at a school radio station. The Awards are supported by Sony UK and the winning entrants will be announced at the annual Vision Ball on 6 December 2008. An award of £750 will be made to each winning school to help develop their radio facilities together with a trophy to each winner.

The award will recognise overall entertainment and presentation style, use of music (where this is appropriate) and rapport with the audience. Registration/entry forms can be downloaded from www.schoolsradio.com.

Entries should be:

• from an entertaining broadcast made during the course of the 2008 calendar year,
• a ‘broadcaster/presenter’ currently in full time education at the sponsoring school or sixth form college (note: broadcasters who made a qualifying broadcast but who have subsequently left school are excluded),
• no more than 15 minutes in length (where the entry includes music this should be edited out leaving only the start and finish),
• on a c.d.,
• accompanied by a signed declaration from a supervisory member of staff confirming that the broadcast is the exclusive work of the pupil(s) nominated,
• received no later than 15 November at:

The judges’ decision is final. Vision Charity, schoolsradio.com and the judges will not enter into any correspondence about their decisions. The Awards presentation will be made in January, details to be announced.
