Student information
Schools Radio is a great way to get yourself heard, make new friends and explore the radio industry through the latest and most popular medium – radio downloads. You could even win £1000 for your school while making a name for yourself in the broadcast world!
Schools Radio is open to all students in Great Britain aged 18 or under. Working with friends in the classroom, you can create as many radio broadcasts as you like, of any length, in any audio format and on any subject that interests you – from sports, music and news to local, national and international issues. Encourage your teacher to post your broadcast onto your favourite social networking website and then log its details on SchoolsRadio.com. This will allow students in every school across the country to find, download and enjoy your broadcast. Your teacher can even enter your broadcast for the Arqiva Schools Radio Award – part of a star-studded radio industry award ceremony in London – and who knows where that could lead!
Created by people like you, for people like you, Schools Radio is your chance to showcase your collective talent and get involved in radio. Our full website goes live in March but now is the time to encourage your teacher to register your school and submit your competition entry before the closing date of April 18th 2008. Good luck!
